OMarket's ratio system is based on the officual OGame.org: 3:2:1, which means 3 metal worth 2 crystal or 1 deuterium.
We tryed to optimize it a bit and have decided that the resource in trade should be fixed and used as the currency to which the other two resoucres are compared for evaluation.
OMarket's ratio system is similar to OGame's only multiplied by 100: 300:200:100, this prevents the use of decimal numbers due to convenience reasons.
Example:
Trading: Crystal
Quantity: 1,000,000
Ratio: 300:200:100
This would sum in trading 1,000,000 crystal in exchange for 1,500,000 metal or 500,000 deuterium however a combination of both would also meet the needs: 900,000 metal and 200,000 deuterium.
There are two types of bargains:
Solitary: Only allows to offer trades for all the quantity standing for trade at once.
Split: Allows to offer for any sum greater then 2000 of the quantity standing for trade. Once an offer accepted its sum will be subtracted from the quantity standing for trade.
Trust-Code is a unique code assigned upon an offer acceptance known only by the players trading. Used as an in-game security measure to identify the played you are trading with by hailing and replying with a matching Trust-Code to prevent others from luring information about your intentions.
Example:
Player one hails: "Hello. We traded at OMarket, my Trust-Code is "d2Z5" please confirm."
Player two replys: "Howdy! Trust-Code: "Ee23", Where should I send the goods?"
There are two requirement a trade needs to meet in order to be visible and open for offers:
- Trade quantity must be more then 2,000.
- Trade expires within a week from it's opening.
If a trade fail to comply to one or more of the above arguments it will be closed for offers and will not be visible at OMarket anymore.
Rating is the average score given by other users who have been treading with a taken player.
Note: The amount of votes should be also considered when evaluating if a player is a trust worthy trader.
Once an offer has been made its displayed as pending approval while the trade owner has an option to accept it. If the trade owner accept the offer it will be displayed at the Trades page along with it's assigned Trust-Code, in addition a message will be sent.
Warning: Accepted offers considered as contract, failure to comply most likely will cost you rating.
When accessing trades that belong to you instead of the usual Add an Offer option a list with all the offers made (if any) will be displayed, from there offers can be accepted and added to the Trades page along with its assigned Trust-Code.
Warning: Accepted offers considered as contract, failure to comply most likely will cost you rating.
Trading, basically, is giving one kind of goods in exchange for another, in OGame it’s reflecting by transporting a kind of resources and receiving another. Some resources are harder to produce or being consumed more then others therefore not all resources are equal in value, the conventional value ratio is 3:2:1, in other words, 3 metal equal to 2 crystal or 1 deuterium.
Before proceeding to trading a simple rules must be acknowledged:
Pushing:
Pushing is when a lower ranked player sends resources to a higher ranked player who gains unfairly from these resources. This also includes sending resources to a higher ranked player who extorts you.
OMarket’s role in OGame tading is bringing the players together to become trade partners, we have no control of actually performing the trade, is has to be done manually by the two trading sides.
